This recent renovation of existing classrooms within the Medical Education Center was focused on providing increased seating capacity, flexibility of space, and integration of audio and video technology. Multi-zone lighting, task specific lighting, and multi-zone media allow for a wide variety of group sizes and functions. The space was designed to meet current anticipated needs with the flexibility for the technology infrastructure to adapt to future needs.Working within the constraints of the available space and ceiling height, we opened up a portion of the ceiling to make this now larger space feel more open and visually interesting. Other simple but effective tricks such as rotating the flooring and ceiling to orient the room to the main presentation area helped organize the space and provides a modern and unique feel.
