An solar powered, Net Zero bus maintenance facility, the Upper Valley Transportation Center includes a bus wash with rain water harvesting and drive through storage bays with an administrative and driver break area wing. The facility is designed for future conversion of two storage bays to bus maintenance. The mechanical system features radiant heated slabs fueled by pellet boilers and solar powered air source heat pumps. In addition, the solar array will provide electrical capacity for charging soon-to-arrive electric buses.
