Community National Bank

Barre, Vermont

An important aspect of Community National Bank’s mission has been community support and ease of access. To express this mission it was important to find a prominent location, which would create a sense of permanence and solidity while also being accessible to the community.  Much of the public spaces of the bank are glass keeping the lobby and offices visible.  The ceilings have lighted curved soffits to illuminate the building at night and give the interior a feeling of activity, at all hours of the day and night.  In addition to the lobby and offices, the Community Room also has an important street presence.  It is located at the front of the building to allow a direct connection to Main Street.
